2025 KCIS Alpine Journey: Winter G8 Hehuan Peaks Success
G8 students completed the 2025 KCIS Alpine Journey across Hehuan Peaks recently. This four-day trek taught them teamwork and courage. They built strong character through professional outdoor training.
As autumn winds swept through the high mountains, students and teachers from Kang Chiao’s Xiugang Campus completed a four-day alpine journey across the Hehuan Peaks.
Tracing routes from Shimen Mountain to Hehuan East, Main, North, and West Peaks, this was more than a physical challenge. It was a living classroom where students learned to respond to changing conditions, rely on one another, and move forward as a team.
Since 2010, Kang Chiao’s Grade 8 mountain program has woven wilderness education into its core learning experience. From Xueshan to Jiaming Lake, and now Hehuan, students prepare through long-term training, careful risk assessment, and real-world practice that builds resilience, responsibility, and sound judgment.
Safety remains the foundation of every ascent. With professional guides, medical support, and daily health monitoring, students learn that choosing caution is not retreat, but wisdom. Adapting to nature is part of the lesson.
At Kang Chiao, climbing is never about conquering a summit. It is about learning to walk together, steady and attentive, discovering strength not only in altitude, but in character.
